No one's coming

No one's coming

A Poem by Moonflower

Exquisite pools, are they in your eyes

Spilling over into restless seas,

I see the darkness, deep and wide

Have we ended all misery

With this tiny drop, we're measuring

Is it snowing underneath the tree tops,

blinding blue invades your sleep

I'm not trying to deny you

I never meant to fall so deep,

We're

turning into something so different,

Illumination, broadened mind

I'm not sure what it is made of

Have you seen the clouds, the vines

Is this what Alice was sure to speak of

Standing tall amongst the trees

I see them breathing in the distance

I think they're calling out to me

Mother Mary, Guide your servant

I'm among the roses, high

I look upon the empty river

and see so many things go by

Let the tulips be my mercy,

We'll climb to the tops of every building

And shout our names out into the city

As the rooftops begin melting

I'm not trying to forgive you,

to smile at your climbing highs

Lets just lay down a while, darling

Underneath our dragon skies

Pink Floyd related I believe, at least the part where you mentioned Alice referring to Alice in Wonderland which is Anarchy somehow *unless I got the message wrong*.
the sky part also is related to Pink Floyd .
I totally love it great piece, well done

I really like the last stanza of this poem. It's created so differently, the words and the way it's written. Very creative, well done. Keep writing poetry you're very good at it. :)

A very interesting poem. I like the feel of the words. A gentle story that bring you in and take you on a journey of understanding. I like the power in each set of lines. Making the poem stronger. A very good ending to a excellent poem. Thank you.

I wouldn't say weird but mysteriously intense... sounds like the subconscious working overtime to me in regards to a relationship... it certainly has me in deep awe.

This is brilliant. You have an amazing talent of taking a simple idea and
expanding it to an epic scale.

Hurm...yeah...

you put the elements of fairy tales, twisted a bit, make it others felt related in a different way and then back to the roots like "Miss Coral" had said earlier...

this was one twisted writing that was....cool though...

I'm not trying to forgive you,

to smile at your climbing highs

Lets just lay down a while, darling

Underneath our dragon skies" hurm, there's one person thought my arrival to her last time was for me to give her a chance, I ignore her though...lol...

btw, keep writing...

It sure is weird, but it's even more beautiful.
I find that the stranger something is, the better it is. Some of it seems to run away for a bit, but it all comes back, and it's gorgeous all the way through. Great piece. :)

I feel this is beautiful..i love the first stanza a lot.For me the second stanza with mother mary...onwards was not coherent with the preceding words (but that is my opinion)..the poem as a whole is very honest, lovely.
Times, ambitions draw us apart yet there have to be times when we have to let go of the world and just immerse in our own little world...
You speak from your heart..lovely.
