The flickering fragility of mortal life should make us all truer, kinder (but not sappier), and more determined to discern the source of our mysterious awareness.
Each apparently separate life is all lives, and rather than either nihilism or religious hope, time is better spent unveiling what the mystics know.
Then a whole new vista of surprise may greet the refreshed inner eye.
Brief but definitely not devoid of feeling. You do a great job at painting the picture in very few words and leave the rest up to the reader. The image in this case is a clear one, even though perhaps construed in shadow.
