Its still hard to breathe

I can never figure out

what it is in your eyes

I'm not sure if its lust

or love

that you hide

 

Your fingers spread

over

my back

Smooth as glass

Imprinting

my skin

with your own broken past

 

I sigh in the moonlight, kissing

every curve

Lost in your arms, you smell so good

it hurts

 

I'm dangling from your strings,

you've got me tied

to your hands

I have to

...escape...

 

these feelings I shouldn't have

 

But you give me that smile

and kiss

the curve of my neck

My broken heart

flutters weakly

in my chest

 

I'm trying to hold back 

I always wonder if you see

What I'm going through,

how hard

it

is

to breathe

 

You're the light

shining

through this

dust filled room

 

I try to open up

but I just can't tell you

That really

I am falling

way to fast,

 

 I just don't think

I'll ever have the guts

 

to tell you that.

It's so simple and well put. :] And I really enjoy the very last line for some reason.

I love how the last sets of words are rhymed only ever so vaguely. They'd be considered a stretch and maybe even force of rhyme if you were rhyming usually (like you and to), but every set is like this. (room and you, for example.)

How perfectly this suits my current situation...*Sigh*..beautifully written...I've noticed that most of Your poems just have this silky, sensual feel about them...maybe even without meaning to...weakly we surrender to the giver of light...gasping for air...finding meaning in their eyes...living only under the ministrations of their hands...dying slowly as they retract
