I didn't mean it

I didn't mean it

A Poem by Moonflower

I told you, harshly,

that december

Breaking nails on

windshields and

burning bushes

I don't want this.

You looked at me

wrinkle eyed and

flabbergasted

I could tell you were

always

taken aback

by my random insults

and instigations

Humorous yet, unfullfilling.

I was always a sad wrap

a seed in

the wind, blowing along

with the trash and inconsistencies.

Don't let me fall inlove with you,

it would be against my

own will.

And I always thought

you took that statement

for granted.

But who can ever tell?

Describes perfecty the tangled knot of emotions that comes of a conflicted relationship. Feelings teeter back and forth, a razor that slices both ways. Great writing...

Great job as usual. Very well written.

The poem has a really nice flow to it and it upholds from stanza to stanza, even with the shortness of the stanzas and the breaks.

The write comes across as a piece about unrequited love and while I can formulate opinions as to what the poem is talking about, I cannot come to a clear conclusion.

Well done.

I've never read a piece with a flow quite like this and it was an experience, because I enjoyed it and its easy going yet so full of emotions, that combination right there leaves the reader wanting more. Great write!
