![]() DistantA Poem by MoonflowerI close my eyes
So I can see the colors
swirling and reaching out
into some unknown
distance
A Kaleidescope of shaded memories
s t r e t c h
into torturous immensity
My heart breaks with each pulsing beat of remembrance
crumbling down and down deep down into my soul And I know
she's still screaming louder but its just that sweet and simple humming
in my ears
ear drums
bursting out with chords and fractures of self.mutilation
I'm breaking the sound barrier .it burns. Hurts so exsquisitly The blood is pulsing down down my veins
There isn't a release not.any.more
If there ever has been I never knew
God, I swear
I never knew what it was I'm really here to do
I gave up so easily, I didn't even find the missing piece.
Then you told me, in blatant
condescendence
that its just lieing there on the floor, just right there on the floor
My eyes they were color blind and I never tried to open them wide
Just a little wider
I cracked the door open to see what was out side because I had never really wondered that before
before what happened, happened
my mind raced with wonder
and then I saw the branches Her eyes up in the trees,
gleaming and Golden
Like that light I saw once so far up in the sky
And my Lord,
I swear she was looking right at me
When I was standing there behind the door
It was red, the color of rabbits blood
stained and chipping off the wood
And I saw a round white moon
Hanging in a southern sky Blanketing a distant mountain
Like a dream
But I saw it with my eyes. © 2011 MoonflowerAuthor's Note
