Ode To Her

Ode To Her

A Poem by Moonflower

Lay me down

in rolling pastures

Taste this concious,

sweet disaster

I see you standing by

the water

Calling to me,

Come my daughter

Isis, Lady of the Nile

Queen of Heaven,

I am your child

Feel my heart beat

for your name

Do I seek you out in vain

Ishtar, Mother of my heart

Don't leave me here to fall apart

I do beseech your holy name

I find this world is still the same

Lay me down across the water

I will come home to be your daughter

Feels like this is centuries old with an ageless sentiment.

some of your work is like you've conjured spirits of bygone poets into your keyboard.

A beautiful prayer. My Native American blood like the ocean and the mountain. I feel peace away from people and to become one with nature. I like the gentle words and feeling of peace in the poem. A excellent poem. Thank you.
