Broken BranchesA Poem by MoonflowerMy hand sweeps across the distance Placing time in the fingers of resistance Vast shadows fall across those evening hues As the golden fields in my mind fail to shine through And come in waves, shades of grey That whispy figure stands, solitary and resilient, Under twisted branches Embracing the landscape With soft eyes and swollen heart Tear drops become the rain of my imaginary place Smearing the desolation where my soul chooses to stay © 2010 MoonflowerReviews
