The Choice

The Choice

A Poem by Alyssa

Take me away love, love me true.
Oh my, I never had a clue.
You said I'd cry out for you,
Before you were through.
No no said I, this could never be true.
But you grabbed me love, and loved me right.
Seduced me, till no more could I fight.
Captured was I, by an icy cold.
Seized me away, my chains you did hold.
You released me, however, my chance to be free.
A chance to open my eyes, and finally see.
But one glance at you, and I let out a cry.
I could never leave you, my uttered sigh.
You've won me love, won me whole.
And now let me care, for your beautiful soul.

i enjoyed that one i like the rhythm of it, very easy to read making it easy to understand without dumbing down the meaning of it

I had a hard time understanding this one. On one side she seemed very happy, willing to accept her connection with this mysterious lover, but on the other hand, it sounds as if she is succumbing to something she can't escape...accepting her fate. All in all, very well written!
Thanks for a great read!
