Follow Your Heart

Follow Your Heart

A Poem by Alyssa

If it be endeavors in the impossible you wish to start,
I pray you follow your heart.
You’ll be guided by magical wings,
And discover what wondrous things life brings.
But if you find you’ve wandered wide and far,
And your tired and lost, till your groping for a guiding star.
One thing consult, tis more trustworthy than the most accurate chart,
I advise you follow your heart.
Be you lost or confused, with no notion as to which turn to take,
And find yourself accosted with a most distressing ache.
If you just close your eyes and look inside,
You’ll find all your aches and troubles shall subside.
This age-old advise to you I impart,
I bid you, always follow your heart.

I like this poem a lot--it has particular meaning to me. I've been faced with many things lately, some that I havent coped with very well. The advice I seem to be getting from everyone has been sub-par or worse and I find that if I just sit and listen to my own feelings, the right answer usually comes. Thank you for your poem.
