The Lady Of The Lake

The Lady Of The Lake

A Poem by Alyssa

Locks of crimson, and black as coal.
Fair and bright, all behold.
Senses all, from dusk till dawn.
Softly floating, with a haunting song.
She'll draw you there, and hold you tight.
Spinning and weaving,
Cunning tales of love and night.
Gliding along, she'll bring you there.
Among meadows and earth, and thick warm air.
Across she walks, in rippling depths of blue.
You'll wind up, a rather promiscuous view.
She'll bind you there, never can you leave.
One with all, her magic's weave.
A watchful song, an enveloping haze.
Beware, the Lady of the lake.

Beautifully moving, powerfully spoken... Your words blend the natural world and the sensual into one... Simply magical...

God I fell into the spell of this one.. The title drew me in and I was provided with a hauntingly beautiful write of fable... I love everything to do with ancient times and magical worlds. Your lines are very well crafted and smooth.
