Snake in the sky

Colors of sunshine

take me to the depths

negativity spirals

away from the self

drawn to the center

of a slow rotating sun

rotation slows

clouds of red smoke

surround me

presence of another being felt

standing behind me

blows puffs of smoke

engulfs me in a cloud

spiral reappears

draws the smoke away

into a funnel

balance found

faint sound

rattlesnake tail

spiral transforms into a coiled snake

head in center darkness

recognize pattern on its belly

same pattern that sent me

to inner realms

the great rattlesnake

leads the way

to inner depths

Found my way deeper within

snake image formed

transformed

into the shape of an eye

vision turned dark

sounds heard clearly

dream memory from last night

coyote speaking "hair naught"

as it looked in my eyes

darkness surrounds

whispered words

hold magic

sphere of darkness grows

self expanding

sense the presence of others

eyes open

body still frozen

unable to move

fingers toes twitch

open eyes still meditating

slowly body awakens

I have no idea what your writing was about,
but since it is not familiar to me it was probably
something riske`
Although I don`t read good, I can only guess that
your writing is top stuff. Probably even class act.
Forgive this terrible review. You deserve better
because you have written with talent and imagination.
Thank you,

As Cartera said, your poem reminds me greatly of the Aboriginal dreamtime,as well as southern Native American beliefs.Trippy in a good way;remniscent of the way a spiritual experience is supposed to feel.I like it

Reminds me of the Australian aboriginal songs and definitely their works. A song of the Dreamtime.

This is pretty good! I have tried meditation before, but I am not good at clearing my mind. I know a lot of what you were writing about in your poem, and I loved the journey you lead us through as your poem progresses. Pretty artwork too!

These lines hold a deep truth and an awareness to the idea that we are never alone through our days, thoughts and inspirations. Your meditative style captured me. Beautifully done.

Mind altering!

The images you paint with your words, take me into a world of peace and contemplation in the very depths of my soul.

Feels like a walkabout in the Australian outback. The imagery so hot and dry.

Gorgeous. I loved the imagery you presented and the metaphor of the snake. Brilliant. Favoring.

whoa d, your subject matter sets in motion all manner of fears and nightmares since i can remember my dreams. your artwork is beyond dreamscape imagination, coiling and striking at the ....... heart. you are connected to the desert spirit like no one i've ever known. but having grown up in this clime that [unbeknownst to us] insinuates itself at the cellular level, i truly have an adverse affection for all things crawly, creepy, stinging, poisonous and that which otherwise operates under the stealth of night [though as a kid, i was completely fearless of anything that moved]. rattlers i canna abide. we've met. i ran. i lived.

incredible disclosure, my friend. please watch where you tread.
