Proof

Proof

A Poem by Desert Dreamer
"

Love and civilization...

"

turbulent love

claws that grasp

frail living heart

converted into machine

locked in a cage

you ask for proof

why is a living beating heart

better than a manufactured one?

I don't need your questions

theories

science

religion

my answer

is to run far away

far from your wrath

I taste freedom

feel the ground

on my bare feet

touch the sky

flee to sacred places

perception

is freedom

I won't play your game

or live by your rules

I trust my senses

I'll take my frail heart

into the wilderness

grow powerful

return to your paved over land

consume your civilization made of madness

I will bring back the wildness

you tried to control

Love this cause this certainly is how I feel... I don't need an organized religion to tell me how to love God and I don't need "society" to tell me what to like.

perception
is freedom
I won't play your game
or live by your rules
I trust my senses

Awesome verse.

I really like this... it has a very liberating and revolting feel to it.... U do not agree to be chained down by societies views and that is gr8, somewhat like Madonna and GaGa... two powerful figures who are completely independent.

It is extremely liberating. Very powerful and rebelling. Somewhat reminds me of Madonna and GaGa ... a powerful figure who is never dictated by society. Gr8 write. Thanks 4 sharing.

I read this and thought of nature returning to claim what was always hers. A very powerful poem about what nature always does in the end, creeps back to claim the land. Awesome poem.

I like your poetic voice! It's idealistic in the social cause way I value and respect.
