I read about butterflies all the time, the subject of many poems.
Now I have read one that has done poetic justice to this marvel .
Not to put down others, just think warming wings in morning sun
made all the difference. Gold dust is too, magic,
Sending children into flight is always in mind- love your work,
Rossen

I once saw a butterfly emerge from its cocoon. Your poem brought that memory back to me. It was a beautiful and awe inspiring sight to witness. Your poem is awesome too!

This is a beautiful pairing of metaphor and image. The first eager flight of an enlightened soul...reminds me of spring!

Very creative, love the fact that you put an image to this writing. I also like the message. So little words yet leaves a big impact. Will be reading more.

The end of the old brings forth new beginnings and that’s what I feel from this piece. Nice work well done and to PoppySilver great job on the pic.

There is such a beautiful longing voiced here... for butterflies and butterpeople too... Found a butterfly trapped in my office yesterday.. she let me hold her and release her into sunlit freedom. Sighed as she clung for moments before soaring.. Thank you for sharing your inspiration!

Cancion de la Mariposa.
I actually watch them if I see them.
And they do seem very happy.
