it's a very interesting short work. it's a statement how not everyone is who they appear to be. 'It turned out he was the kind of guy' is something that blokes say about one another, and so we get the feeling we are dealing with a man's man. but, it turns out he has a sensitive side too. now, was he born with a sensitive soul or are these old wounds opening up? a lot of questions are raised about this character.
i have to check out Alanis, just googled her and will put her on my watch later.
