(If It's) Always Low Tide

(If It's) Always Low Tide

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

Without Flow the Ebbed Die

"
The only thing louder
Than the chaos outside
Is the fight that's raging
To keep it all inside
To keep from screaming out
That I cannot abide
If it's always low tide

Keeping emotions bottled up inside is detrimental to one's health. Sure, the world is chaotic and certainly the day to day fires we have to put out are raging, but "screaming out" can be a good thing. I hope you have someone in whom you can confide. Good rhyming. Lydi**

it might be a low tide in you, but this poem was deep. i am in the processing of facing up to all my faults, there is so much anger in my bones and it's starting to spill out. as the kids say 'if you don't heal your wounds, you'll bleed on people who didn't cut you.' so im trying not to do that (any more) but it's a helluva process.

Thanks. Yes, bleeding on the people who did not cut you happens a lot unfortunately. ~Jim
Jim,
This one is hard for me to relate to since I live in a tiny Texas ghost town thirty-five miles from anyplace to spend money... It is always damn quiet here. I often wonder how any human can survive in a city, crowded together in apartment buildings, jostling each other on the sidewalk, cars, trucks and vans adding to the chaos. I had a New Yorker tell me once, "The theater, the museums, the bars and clubs!" That's okay, I'll take the deer, antelope, Buffalo, howling coyotes and horses any day...

Thanks. Phoenix is definitely not a place for quiet. ~Jim
