A Recurring Theme ...

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

... of mine it seems.

"
I dug this by myself
Dug it right from the start
Gave it all of my heart

I dug this all alone
Until it swallowed me
In my entirety

I dug this without stop
Even sacrificed sleep
To get myself this deep

I dug this without thought
Of any consequence
And I've got no defense

I dug this all alone
The fault is all my own
