Autumn's Reign

Autumn's Reign

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

... over me ...

"
Oh, my sweet dear
At last you're here
Summer's been slain
Now you may reign
Oh, my sweet dear
At last you're here
To ease my pain
And make me fain
With Autumn's rain

What a wonderful welcome you give Autumn, Jim. I sense you look forward to cooler weather with some rain to ease the arid soil. With Summer slain (what an amazing line!), Autumn now rules and I pray it is filled with the most beautiful Autumn blessings for you to enjoy. Lovely work! Thank you for sharing, Jim...

I love the days of Autumn also. A wonderful poem for the change of the season. Only bad part. Winter will come. Amazing description for the days of Autumn. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

I love the line "Summer's been slain."
the rain in fain falls mainly on the plain heart that needs love and reassurance.
