Howdy-Hey

Howdy-Hey

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

a brief verbal soiree

"
I just spoke to a neighbor
Well, I did in a way
I looked and said "Howdy"
To which she replied "Hey"
So I'm off to nap now
Feels like I talked all day
And I'm quite exhausted
From that simple Howdy-Hey
That was, coming from me
Hermit's soliloquy

Most welcome always, Jim...
Jim,
Do you ever read Robert Creeley, the Beat poet.
I love his work...and this piece reminds me so much of him.
