A sonnet I have messed with for awhile

Sometimes I just

Slide quite a ways back

Derail my progress

Right off the tracks

Sometimes I just

Let go of the wheel

Knowing the damage

Will be quite real

Sometimes I just

Toss chances away

To get nothing more 

Than wasted days

Sometimes I just

Turn diamonds to dust
