Abattoir

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

A darker version of the love sonnet

"
I was warned
But didn't care
I still went there
So it's all fair

I saw the signs
But took the chance
At your romance
I chose the dance

I knew well
You'd butcher me
But could not see
What else could be

I was warned
But didn't care ...

I was warned over and over again about a love I had...but I jumped headlong into it anyway.

Knew the risk and accepted it...we are still very close friends to this day.
