A Poem by Desert Knave
"

A sonnet about a massacre

"
It was there on Clark Street
That Capone turned up the heat
In the most brazen way

Sending a blood tide
To those of the North Side
Al's rule was here to stay

His crew showed no pity
In the Windy City
On St. Valentine's Day

Seven lives were taken
And Chicago was shaken
When Capone had his say

It was there on Clark Street
On St. Valentine's Day

Wow, yes, what a day he picked to do this....a day of love...but he loved his power and loved to let
everyone know that...Would have been poetic justice if
that vault was opened and they found a box of chocolates...Eat your heart out Geraldo.

Thanks LOL. Yeah, I recall tuning in for the opening of the vault ... it was quite funny. ~Jim
