Were You Here

Were You Here

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

Something I wrote a couple years back that I "lost" in a purge.

"
What would we be ... were you here
Friends or something far more dear
Or maybe we would hardly speak
Infatuation having peaked

Would we now at last be "us"
Engaged in something fabulous
Or ships that seldom pass at all
Having found our passions stalled

What would we be ... were you here
I'd sure love to know, my dear
