There are times when we feel like we are motoring quite satisfactorily along the road of spiritual growth

and then, there are times when we feel like we have pulled off on the shoulder of the spiritual highway because we have a flat tire and we're watching the traffic pass us by.

This can be especially true following a period of considerable spiritual growth in which we feel as if we've made a lot of progress toward enlightenment.   This may be the way that spiritual growth goes — periods of intense movement giving way to periods of what "seems" like stagnation.   In those moments we may choose to feel dispirited.  It may be that we are at a standstill because there is a new obstacle on the road, or some road construction ahead — or it may even be that a re-adjustment or a re-focusing on our destination and route is required.

So, instead of choosing to feel dispirited or even depressed and giving our power to remain joyous away to this illusory stagnation, let us recognize that powerful periods of spiritual growth require that we introspect, process and recharge for a period of time in order to fully integrate the new clues and hints that have been liberated by our experiences.

When we sense that our spiritual growth curve is leveling off, let's encourage ourselves to enter into a time and space of restful metamorphosis.

During these time-outs, we can process the new lessons brought to our attention through our earthly experiences.  There are so many varied experiences to partake of in the physical — and some of them don't even seem physically based such as OBE, dream, intuitive, synchronistic, clairsentient and astral experiences.  These experiences are sometimes so multidimensional that they not only require space and time to process but for us to step back from our BUSYness

and create an introspective tranquil environment in which to assemble all the clues into MEANING.

For it is in creating meaning that we come to understand the nature of our journey.

By enforcing the space and time required to manifest our "zone of inward reflection" (daily personal space), we allow ourselves the time, space and peace for inner cleansing, nutrition, exercise, sleep and a new clarity and refocusing of our vision.

In this Earthly world, if we are to effectively retreat from our BUSYness in order to create our zone of inward reflection, it is helpful to practice detachment from illusory materialistic needs and societal expectations (creates time) and to set personal boundaries and communicate them to those around us (creates space).

From this time of metamorphosis and renewal . . .

. . . emerges new motivation and momentum along our chosen path.

So, let's resist this temptation to choose to feel stuck, and remember that in TRUTH we are always taking the next important step on our path of conscious evolution.
