On the road againA Poem by Desert ThornOn the road again, air is so heavy tonight, on the road again, as every other night, on the road again, just trying to get away, on the road again...we’re lovers without a way.
Only memories linger, else si long gone, memories and sweet sins, which we have to atone, sin of broken love, sin of night we slept, sin of losing something...something we should’ve kept.
So we run to silence, only to hide in shade, afraid of things we felt, from start ment to fade, hanging on loose threads, of something we were before, only to always end up, hurting each other more.
And all we’re left is wander, on the unknown road, no matter where we stop, always feeling abroad, running away from past, from memories long ago, running away from love, running from leting it go.
On the road again, air is so heavy tonight, on the road again, as every other night, on the road again, just trying to get away, on the road again...we’re lovers without a way. © 2011 Desert ThornReviews
