Life LakeA Poem by Derek Smith
I continue to walk through my forest of thoughts broad into reality.
As I summon my mind to betray me as though that was what was, then not now. Remembering what had been laid to rest long ago, now animated into life back from death Inside you will see all but mazes of meadow lark show to uphold your guest status in my forest, Now you yield at my lake of reflection, that reflects all of life living in, on and around this forest But once you devise a plan you better rethink it twice for the hacking of trees will come down Let you look hard, cast the glare and see what was then now not now or evermore, so we ask you what and how do you see in this lake for it reflects life, my forest was what laid to rest You see nothing but a disillusion for only life reflects not thy death of my forest Its roots are well grounded, helping me not stray away If you want to solve and find your way through this maze I wish you luck. Here is nothing but a lake full of life, and the lack of life., the question remains Which end you belong in here... at life lake... © 2013 Derek SmithReviews
