Killing the Dream

It was the oddest thing

to watch death

flash before my eyes

the truth he so creatively

intertwined with lies

as he held me

his eyes never letting me leave

his voice

slowly...

slowly

killing me

as he killed the dream

Yes he killed the dream

murdered it

he stabbed it in the back

cut open it's throat

slit its wrist

and then adding insult to injury

sealed it with a kiss

the sadistic m**********r

that yes...i was in love with

killed the dream

killed my dream

and i..helpless..

could only watch

I like it, I agree with "Thinker1", don't understand why it is in a poem style but it was good. This was my favorite part: "to watch death flash before my eyes the truth he so creatively intertwined with lies". Great lines!

I wonder is the dream a perfect relation. The absolute love. It sounds like it is, as if he murdered all you had built together with his "intertwined lies." I like it. The imagery was there and so was the strong clear cut emotion.
