This one reminds me of a song by George Michael called 'Careless Whisper'... I don't know why some folks whisper lies because it sounds good at the time. This is sad but quite lovely Danni, a wonderful description of betrayal and despair. Someone better comes along... Love the blue font, by the way, enhances the mood perfectly.

I really like this tribute to George Micheal. It's funny, you don't strike me as the type, then again, I don't think there is anyone who does strike me as the type to be a fan of the song. Maybe I'm wrong, though, I wonder if your inspiration has nothing to do with the song. If not, maybe it was one of seepages into the collective subconscious things. Anyway, great poem.

I like the image of the whisper carrying words, reaching us, even though they are not exactly the words we want to hear. It is only natural that you hang on to a love that just has been taken from your live, leaving you wondering if it all were a lie.
Your build up of this poem is perfect, using the same image both in the beginning and at the end.
That makes a lot of sense, because every end is a new beginning!
Just do not disappear like that! That would be a real waste!

I like it. Sad and emotional. True reflection of self denial of a feeling lost. How often do we continue to cling to things that we no longer feel connected to? Nice flow and easy read.
