Secret garden

Secret garden

A Poem by Dennis

Secret Garden

I love rain but not forever

I like clouds but not fog,

I love mornings when the earth is just waking and the gentle dew has fallen on all the flowers and trees.

I love my secret place where I can shut out the world and all the mysteries.

I close my eyes and hear the soft rain and the morning birds and animals of the forest as I rest in total peace.

It's a secret garden that I only know, my hiding place a shelter from the lurking fears this life brings.

So whether its raining or thundering or clouds cover my world I can go away to my secret garden and my Spirit be renewed and be refreshed from this world of care...in my secret place.

We all need a secret place to go and reflect or write a poem or just get in touch with the inner us. Good poem!

We all need a secret place where we can go and breathe fresh air, unload life's burdens. I like your poem!
And I welcome you here. Your daughter is one of my favorite poets.

This is fantastic, and yet so true. Everyone needs a secret place and you just described such a wonderful place that everyone should see one day.
