ForgivenA Poem by DennisSpiritual reflectionWhen I consider that pivotal day When Innocence was put to shame He bore my sins, for them He'd pay When I was the one to blame
The purest of the pure was He Unlike any aft or 'fore He took my place, and I go free It was MY sins that He bore
No greater show of love is known He purposed from the start Despised, rejected, He did atone To rescue my sin flawed heart
Forgiven, I must ne'er forget The price He paid, the cross He bore I am redeemed, by love beget I'm heading toward Heaven's open door
