Chapter 5: True Colors

"Where's Suri?!"Shon exclaimed.

 

"I don't know! She just disappeared. To tell you the truth, we're better off without her,"Jennifer replied. Shon looked at his sister in disbelief.

 

"I can't believe you would say something like that! I really like Suri, and you just can't accept that. You never can accept who I like!" Shon yelled out angrily to his sister.

 

"You're too young to be liking anyone. Plus, you just met her. You don't know if she's one of the bad guys or something!"

 

"Man, I'm out of here!"

 

"Shon, you better not leave or we can just go home and forget about all of this!"

 

"You treat me like a little kid... I hate you!"

 

 Jennifer could not believe the words that came out her little brother's mouth 'I hate you'. The most awful words you can say to a love one. The little boy she took care of since he started to talk. The boy she taught how to walk, read, write, and fight. All Jennifer could do was stare into her brother's firey-red eyes and see how mad he was at her. As she backed away from her upset brother, Shon took off into the sky, hoping to find Suri. Never looking back to see his sister's sad, cold face.
