Chapter 1: The Battle Field

   It was cold,dark,and lonely. Shon stared at what was remained of the others out on the battle field. His heart beated rapidly as he raced to catch his breath. His evil fighting partner, who was also his sister, was nowhere to be found, and he was running out of time. 

 

"Where's Jennifer?" he thought to himself.

 

 Shon got ready to make his exit from the battle field,

but suddenly he thought, "I shouldn't just leave her out here. I should at least try to look for her while there's still time."

 

 Jennifer didn't have the power to fly like he did. Or could light a flame with the snap of her fingers so she could see in the dark. 

 

 Shon thought about how his family wasn't there for him when he needed them most, and how he hadn't seen his parents for years because they were always fighting 'God knows where'. He began to fill up with anger and frustration. His eyes turned firey red, his hair turned from a light brown to a bright orange-red, and fire covered his entire body. The anger built up so deep inside him that he forgot all about his sister being somewhere on the battle field alone, dying maybe. He forgot about what happened in his past and what could probably happen from this day forward.

 

 Faster than a bullet, he shot up into the air. Shon had no clue where he was going to go, but he knew it had to be away from anything that reminded him of his parents, even if that meant leaving his sister there to fend for herself.
