A 2008 poem of mine

I put up with you
Every single day
I don't even know who
I am anyway
You put me down
I resist the urge to cry
Trying not to break down
I don't understand why
You beat me up
I curl up in a ball
Whenever i slip up
I'm backed against a wall
As you cut me
Hurt me
Watching as you don't see
That i want to be free
So no more pain
Not today
I'm partially insane
Having lost my way
You tried to kill me
Didn't suceed
Because it wasn't you i needed
No more hurting me
Not anymore
Let me be
Forevermore
