Spring is Marching on AgainA Poem by Dennis ShanabergA Song About the Possibilites that the Arrival of Springtime SingsThe buds on the tree Fal--ling Tells me that spring is marching on again. The birds they might sing all through the night, But as the sun rises-oh-their calls will increase. And I know a better day is coming. Another day is just around the bend-- Cuz there has to be one Better than this. The grass is shooting up from the snow-- With flowers and the green sprouts grow. The people start smiling as they lose their coats; Depression is simply an overburden of clothes. And I know a better day is coming. Another day is just around the bend-- Oh yes-a better day is coming Another one’s right around the bend Cuz there has to be one Better than this. The gulls on the beach Cal--ling As the sand finds footprints on it again. Campfires will turn the sand to glass; When the flames die out, the embers will last. And I know a better day is coming. Another day is just around the bend-- Oh yes-a better day is coming Another one’s right around the bend Cuz there has to be one Better than this. © 2012 Dennis ShanabergReviews
