I Really Don't CareA Poem by Dennis ShanabergI think this one is an Irish sounding song...
The cigarette in your mouth is so misleading.
When the loose leaf notebook says that you don't really care. The castanets in your pockets are so very deceiving. And then I realize that I really don't care. Oh-no. Oh-no. Oh-no. No. I don't really care. Oh-no. Oh-no. Oh-no. No. You are nothing but air. Your skirt blows upward from the upward air vents. The hurricane left your hair disrepaired. You've got cherries smeared on your rosy cheeks love. But you've got none left for to share. Oh-no. Oh-no. Oh-no. No. You've got none to share. Oh-no. Oh-no. Oh-no. No. And I really don't care. You tarried to long by the river as it rose, dear. You tarried to long and the river grew high. You stayed there too long, and you floated then under. You stayed there too long, the water took the shore once so dry. Bye-bye. Bye. Bye. You thought I would cry. Oh-no. Oh-no. Oh-no. No. I really don't care. Oh-no. Oh-no. Oh-no. No. Sweet darling, I really don't care. © 2010 Dennis ShanabergAuthor's Note
