Hemorrhagic Hell

Hemorrhagic Hell

A Poem by Dennis Shanaberg

Heart thumps of treason

They terry too long

Beating me down

Till I’m trapped underground

Without sanctuary

Save graves for unsaved

Rejected in pasts

With sins, now enslaved.

Livened by drink

To poison the veins.

Likened to blinks

So quickly I fade.

Dangerous days

Pass all the same

Uneventfully dull

Till skin fades to grey.

The beats are the reason.

The reason to live.

The beats are the treason.

The reason we die.

To beat with another

To truly feel life.

But beats without rhythm

Are the greatest of lies.

Lend it no lies

As we lie all the same.

If love tends another,

This shall pump with more pain.

It’s broken, it’s bleeding,

In Hemorrhagic Hell.

The sins are arisen,

Death shall never be quelled.

Hard and direct poetry. You held my attention to the lat words.
"In Hemorrhagic Hell.

Death shall never be quelled."
Very nice use of words above. I liked them. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
