Celestial Lover

Celestial Lover

A Poem by Dennis Shanaberg

She reached into the darkness

’N’ removed handfuls of me.

It took a fair long while,

Before I was then complete.

She shook off all the shadows

That were clinging to my skin.

Her eyes blazed with bright sunshines

That made me whole again.

I hate the days

When she’s away

Cuz I am

Invisible

In the dark.

I am the moon

That reflects

The beauty

That blazes out

From her.

Nothing in the universe

Or all all creation-wide

Could match the spark and shine

In her ever glowing eyes.

Her body is celestial.

It has on me such a pull

That’s transformed my very mind.

My heart is rising at high tide.

Reading this and the way you have constructed it, makes craving for more, especially to take an idea and creating it into something quite amazing while managing to tell the story well. Great work.

Thank you for the beautiful poem. The strong description took me to places of beauty and create good vision.

Thank you for the amazing poetry. The above lines are my favorite.
