The Worst Creation

The Worst Creation

A Poem by Dennis Shanaberg

They said my head would be in the clouds

But so far

I’m just beating it on every wall I find.

I was told that my time was now

But I’ve found

It keeps ticking on & on until we die.

How I thought I was something new

But I’m not

I’m just as bad & broke as everybody else.

Detractors say that I’ve lost my way

But they’re wrong

I was born back on this twisted path to Hell.

I’ve been thorough in this self-destruction.

Tore myself apart so i cannot function.

There’s no chance for a resurrection.

My demise for everyone’s protection.

And I’ll scream

And I’ll shout

As I’m taken down.

The Devil

Will Smile

As he’s handing me my crown.

Desolation

Immolation

In this finale

To God’s worst creation.
