Letters To HellA Poem by Den ZazelaThis is a poem about what suicide does to those who are left behind. How depression messes with those still alive.
Dear cous, I understand your suicide and I do not
blame you at all. I understand why you took your life leaving your 1 year old child behind I understand why you left me knowing that you were my only source of happiness The only fountain of happiness I could drink from I understand why you took your life, your breath, your soul and as much as it stabs, as much as it hurts I do not blame you. Was your life as hollow as mine? As dark, pain-ridden as mine? Did depression take you on a rollercoaster ride? Trick you and said it would be fun? Did it use you, chew you and spit you out as it did me? Because I would understand, I completely understand why you did what you did And I do not blame you at all I understand! What I do not understand is why you couldn't pass the bill, share the pill? Why did you leave me behind to fend for myself? Now I can picture you strolling alone in hell Because God couldn't understand! Why you had to do what you did I can picture you alone Burning eternally Alone Suffering in Burning Sulphur Alone Because cous you're a murderer A killer in God's eyes! And you ought to be punished. Even if my tears were magical and could bring you back I wouldn't because as much as it stabs, as much as it pains.. I'll never be with you And I understand © 2015 Den Zazela |
