Sulfur and Roses

Sulfur and Roses

A Poem by Demyra
"

Thorns and flames...

"
I am a lost soul, a lost cause, nothing when it's only me,
Sulfuric residue of an ashen aspiration of what I once wanted to be.
My dreams and I have burned to ash and blown away in the wind,
wrapped within the crevices of your insecurities, and begun to slowly mend...

Reform and reshape,
your thorns and your petals cannot cut me.
Reborn, you relate,
a heart deprived of all sensible joys, but me.

The fire emptied my skin,
now you can fill me in...
and if it seems we're going to fall,
we still have eachother in the end.
Neglected roses wither, and your soil's nutrients ran long dry,
But these ashes can revitalize your roots, push you to live and try.
If you let me, I can find a life, a dream, and a purpose through you,
Dedicated to the end, I will dedicate the whole of myself to you.

Reform and reshape,
your thorns and your petals cannot cut me.
Reborn, you relate,
a heart deprived of all sensible joys, but me.
The fire emptied my skin,
now you can fill me in...
and if it seems we're going to fall,
we still have eachother in the end.

the flames of this fire singe my skin with each stanza...

your vocabulary usage appears refined as well.

a work that only demy could produce, for certain!

Can't wait to read the others tommorow!
