Symbolic SunA Poem by DemyraShe takes my hand and even for a moment, there's more than sadness...Carefully tread the waters, the shadows betray their depth, The pale light of the moon holds many secrets well kept. Carefully tread the waters, or supply your crimson elixir, To the cold black beneath, another portion of the growing mixture…
Even after I feel my will has decayed, Sense of self lost and inner glow unmade, Even after I falter and I think I'm finally done, I am reborn through the light of my symbolic sun.
Fight the good fight, we'll rise up just to fall, Spending our last minutes wondering why we tried to stand tall. One and the same, I was drowning in the pitch black, Then she took my hand, and gave me the strength to fight back.
She hears me, she holds me, Adheres to me as she molds me…
Even after I feel my will has decayed, Sense of self lost and inner glow unmade, Even after I falter and I think I'm finally done, I am reborn through the light of my symbolic sun.
Serenity in her eyes a calm of divinity in my soul, Her body alongside mine, her love keeps me whole, Her voice soothing in my ear, her presence filling me with light, And with her by my side I find strength to endure the perpetual night.
Overbearing darkness dissipates with her inner glow, Only then can we stop the flood and begin the gentle flow… I realize now you’ll stand beside me until the end, Fortifying my faults to the war prepared to begin.
And so I promise you, my symbolic sun that so long as I can fight, It will forever be in your name, and always with all my might.
Even after I feel my will has decayed, Sense of self lost and inner glow unmade, Even after I falter and I think I'm finally done, I am reborn through the light of my symbolic sun. © 2008 DemyraReviews
