Cowboy PoetA Poem by DemosthenesI want to live simple. I’ll just sit on my rear. All I need is a pitcher of ice and a cooler of beer. I’ll sit in my chair out on my porch. I’ll think what I want and write it too. When the sun goes down so will I. When it rises so will I do. All day I’ll just sit and think with a cool drink. I’ll laugh and cuss and chew. Soon I’ll have written a book. Maybe they’ll like it. Maybe they won’t. I could care less, as long as you cook. I like things simple and easy. Just don’t forget the beer. © 2009 DemosthenesAuthor's Note
