Pancakes In The MorningA Poem by .Because.I.Said.So.A poem about losing a mother.
We used to have pancakes,
Now we have silence We used to have cheer, Now we have sorrow Hospital rooms, morgue, funeral, That's all we have to remember her Dad is depressed, Brother is stressed, And I'm the one who's never addressed Dad won't look at me, Brother absolutely hates me They say it's my fault, for being so down That I'm the one who forced her to go to town I say it's not, It's not true It was the drunk, Who took her from you, Why was he driving? Why was he there? Why didn't he stop, As she flew through the air?
