Truth

Truth

A Poem by Omri F.K

You could call me the teller, or god

the poet, or just anther cheat

But even tough your eyes are fogged

You can see there's no deceit

I once wondered about the world

What is right and what is not

I now understand, my friend

That we all deserve to rot

I'll never lie to you

A good man said to me

And then I turned my back

Didn't see how lies break free

You become its instrument

The lie shall pull the string

You're baffled in its shadow hand

And hoping disaster it won't bring

To hell with this race of liars

To hell with their cursed craft

We deceit and conspire

Until there's nothing left

You once told me

How lies can haunt thy self

I'm more truthful then you were

And I turned out to be quiet daft

I never realized how much I saw

Through the hatred and the lies

The truth was reveled to me

Under the endless skies

As I wondered through the valley

Where we once sang a song

About truth and loving

And all the other thing we long

For we don't know love

Nor anything which is true or pure

We are a dreaded sickness

For which the world knows no cure.

With our lies we all shall choke

Under the red and blazing sky

You will all cry out for god

As we all must sometime die

For this reality was built by lies

And by lies it shall all fall

This song is the only truth

Will you heed its call?

For everything I've written here

Was just a lie by itself

Do you believe in me

Or do you trust you're own self?!

For in your longing

To see all that’s right and wrong

You turned out be quiet like me

Your journey was far too long

For to those seeking the truth

Getting the veil off your eyes

You must seek onto thyself

And you will hear there cries

The cries of a thousand truths'

Choking in despair

Crushed by your petty lies

Do you really think that’s fair?

And with that, I must say

All those tales are lies

There is just one truth

Remove the veil from your eyes

Seek the truth is all they said

When they sent me on this mission

I was just a little child

And they forced me to submission

And so they put the veil

Onto my eyes and in my head

The truth I'll never see

And the lies bring fear and dread

They forced me to bring the lies

They called me god for no reason

My name was Christ and all around

I saw this was the right season

And so I died on the cross

Under the great blue skies

And you saw me and laughed

I despise your petty lies

I finally saw the truth

And sang this fabled song

For my name was Christ or god

For far far too long
