Body of Glass

Body of Glass

A Poem by Dementhia

Gently,

Sweep up the words from the floor

And swallow them again.

For you have touched me

And only you have

Gone that far.

Slowly,

Grasp my hand by the wrist

And hold me tight.

For you have hurt me

And only you have

Hurt so much.

Carefully,

Walk the path of my mind

And watch your feet.

For I am broken

And only you have

Seen the scars.

Cunningly,

Avoid the sharpness of my edges

And come closer.

For you can pass

And only you have possessed

My body of glass.
