Waves

Waves

A Poem by Nyssa Nyx
"

A sonnet I made a few years ago about a guy I had a crush on.

"
Standing silently in the sand thinking
The water caresses the silent eve
Myself and my heart being washed, sinking
And I watch, distressed, as you take your leave
I think my last thought of your handsome smile
Outstretching my hand, calling out your name
You never once looked at me all the while
Can you be filling with regret and shame?
The waves are pulling me back and I hear
Echoes of sweet silver music from you
Limp in the water, I shed my last tear
Yet my last moments make me feel anew
You must think I'm lovely in my new gown
If you're heartless enough to let me drown

And I'll be entering for the "Best Sonnet" award :)

Btw, the "silver music" part was to describe that he played a silver trumpet~
