She couldn't believe it.  Green eyes, wide in terror, looked around at the world falling apart around her.  Diana couldn't believe that one atomic war could lead to this misery.  Everyone in her town was either dead or on the verge of dying and begging for their life, and if they weren't begging for the little remainder of their life, they were trying to kill one another for supervisions.  As she continued to stealthily walk to her boyfriend's house, she couldn't help but stop and count just how many people were fighting, or kicking other people while they were down.  Diana sighed and looked at the Victorian house in front of her before running across the body-covered yard and climbing up the vines that grew on the side of the house.
When she reached the top of the vines and managed to jump onto the windowsill and get the window open, she rolled into the house and closed the window behind her.  When she stood, she stretched her 5'3" slender frame with her arms over her head before she quietly went through the house until she reached a darker tinted door.  Without knocking, she opened the door and smiled lightly as she saw Xavier sleeping on top of his sleeping bag.  She cleared her throat and poked at her boyfriend with her foot until he jerked in shock and rolled over, stretching and then smiling groggily up at his girlfriend before sitting up and patting next to him for Diana to sit down.  She took the invitation and reached up to ruffle Xavier's black hair while locking her green eyes with his blue.
Right then, they heard another bomb hit the Earth and Diana couldn't help but flinch, nearly jumping into Xavier's lap.  Xavier sighed but held onto his girlfriend until something caught his eye coming from outside and he turned his head to look.  What he saw, he just couldn't believe.  He thought this town was safe.  He thought this place was off the maps for all the bombs to hit.  He looked down to Diana who had her eyes closed before he stood up, easily picking up his girlfriend and holding her against his 6'2" frame as he moved away from the window, hiding her frame with his own.
Then it hit, and the winds came with it and he flinched as he heard the window break and couldn't help the groan that escaped his lips as chunks of glass hit his flesh.  The window soon turned into the wall and debris flew into the house.  Diana's eyes were wide and she looked to Xavier before shoving him away from her and looking at the destruction that was happening to the house.  Soon, her vision went black as a huge slice of metal came flying through the missing wall and towards her.
"Diana!!  Diana!!"  Diana groaned as her mind finally came to, pain hitting her body and wincing as her eyes squinted open.  They weren't full off the light that they used to hold as her blood was spewing on the floor without her realizing it as she looked to her lover.  Xavier sighed and bit his lip and tried not to purse his lips together as he looked to his girlfriend with tears in his eyes but a smile on his face.  Diana couldn't help but smile back with the strength she had.
"Diana, you know I love you, right?" Xavier whispered, and Diana was confused.  She tilted her head as best she could but only found out that it hurt more to do so.  She tried to speak, but her diaphragm seemed like it didn't want to produce air and her lungs were burning as they struggled.  She barely nodded as she felt her eyelids get heavy.  The winds and the cloud were thick around them and she fought against the dirt and various minerals that flew in the air to keep her eyes on Xavier.  Soon, her body quivered and the corner of her vision was going black.

"X...  'vier....  I....  lo... you...." She gasped as she reached her hand up to grasp her boyfriend's shoulders realizing that her hands were drenched in blood and she looked down.  She was cut nearly in half by the metal she saw flying earlier and it was holding her to the wall.  She choked in shock, blood spurting up from her throat as tears welled in her eyes as she managed to lift her head up back to Xavier.
"It's ok, Diana, I'm coming with you.  I'm right here and everything.... will... be.... alright..... Stay... calm...." Then Diana looked down as her head was getting heavy and saw thhat a big spike from the metal was in Xavier's abdomen.  Managing a shuddering breath, she felt the coldness of death take over her right as she felt Xavier go lax with her.
Near darkness was around her, yet she felt warm and safe.  Diana's sparkling green eyes looked around her.  It was quiet, yet the quiet was welcoming and calming.  With a soft sigh, Diana looked around to see if she could see anything or anyone she knew.  When arms wrapped around her, she jumped before looking behind her and laughing as she saw Xavier smiling down at her.

"I told you I would be here." Xavier muttered and Diana couldn't help the smile on her face as the space around them brightened.  She couldn't help but look around and saw it was their own personal heaven.  Their Victorian house, brand new, was around them giving off the safe feeling of home, comfort and love.  With smiles on their faces, Diana and Xavier got ready for their eternity all together, alone and at peace from a world that was involved with such chaos.

This is rather sad, but it gets better. It is how I feel on a dramatic event. For the 'Dramatic Love Story' contest.

About
Well, I guess I can say that one thing about me is that a lot of people love comparing me to Daria (yeah, the cartoon Daria). I just have a bit more emotion than she does, but I'm sarcastic and love .. more..
