Coffee

Coffee

A Poem by Summer D.
"

Coffee; no class. A quick dash of energy and then it’s gone.

"

Coffee

Fragrant, gentle, wisps.

Flecks of sugar coat her face.

Warmth blows a small breath.

Do you miss her much?

Bitter plays of happiness.

No. I hate coffee.

3/31/2012. Day three of my grounding. Everything is going swimmingly....
This piece made me laugh a bit.

It was inspired by me accidentally ordering something a day or two ago; that I absolutely loathe. It reminded me of someone who used to be quite important to me. So I sort of spaced out staring at it until one of my family members commented.

“ Oh you like this?”
A facade of bitterness swept up my muse and I responded with a smile.
“ No. I hate it.”

A short haiku thing. Nothing special. Do you miss her much?
Hehe, I decided to use coffee because in one of my favorite tv shows (Of course. it’s British.) One of the characters loathed coffee. “An american thing.”

Tea for the taking!

YT,

Summer

LOL. Once I said something like that with a huge smile on my face. Needless to say, that did not turn out well. :3

I hate coffee, unless it has 3 spoonfulls of sugar, 2 spoons of milk, and the coffee is replaced by tea.

On the poem---
I LOVE IT! It's hilarious and bitter at the same time. I got the image that the girl's mother left her, and her mother used to like coffee---I get the strangest visions. Anyway,
