Lost in the Moment
by
Delores Jordan I look down my
own body My eyes lock
into yours as Your large
pupils hypnotize me They will me To submit my most secret of secrets Then my gaze
becomes unfocused As I draw my
conscious self Deeper and
deeper into my body Down I drift as
I literally feel myself disappear I cease to be I am muscle,
skin, heartbeat, and nerve endings I am fire and
earth"the sun and the stars I am gasping for
breath and then I cease to breathe I am poised for
a second In the land of
immortality I sprout wings
and soar Long gone from
my own mortal body I tremble, and
then I scream I don't even
hear Because I AM NOT
THERE I am the center
of the universe I am an atom
that explodes Fragmenting into
a million particles Magnetically
swarming together As I again
perceive that"I am me. © 2012 Delores JordanAuthor's Note
