Welcome to Grover's Mill

Welcome to Grover's Mill

A Poem by Delmar Cooper
"

Rewrite of a poem from "Country Folks"

"

Welcome to Grover's Mill

They landed right there,

Right there in the beanfield.

They chose us.

Imagine.

We greeted them with glee and laughter,

Country music,

Flowers,

And homemade Bundt cake.

We, in our childlike innocence,

Could know nothing of their evil intent.

They, in their arrogant ignorance,

Could know nothing

 Of poisoned Bundt cake.

Woah, quite spine-chilling. Perfect word choice, length of the piece. Well written!

I forgot the other never saved it
This was defiantly very creative. It was short and to the point.
