Thank you for sharing this poem, it's reassuring to know there are people who experience what we ourselves go through. It makes the world that little bit smaller than perhaps we realise whenever we have our problems to resolve.

an ode to the loss of awareness when the heart no longer knows its way,
when memories become hauntings, like the ghost of the past that
creeps up when least expected, leaving thoughts in a state of regret.
I lovved the form and flow, this is artistically poetic ^_^
I think I haven't come across a better poem of this kind on the cafe :) Your subtlety is marvelous. The hauntingly wistful repetition of "And so you haunt me" serves to elevate this poem to beyond the realm of the brilliant! Awesome.
sounds a lot like my last date, for she always haunt me. Yet she is never there. Awesome poem. Thanks for reading mine. If you like poems I have a book called Tic from Tack. All my poems are posted in it.
Herein lies the power of simplicity. I wish people would take note of this poem. In simple, concrete words, you have conveyed the power that love has to both heal and destroy. "You turned my weaknesses into strengths" is the line that appealed to me most. We all need that kind of understanding and devotion from someone, because ultimately, us humans, we are all filled with a need to connect. I hope this poem is fiction. If it isn't, I hope everything turns out to your benefit in the best possible manner!
Speaking the only belief we hold as humans. Which is belief in another human. Your words dive against a current so neatly and softly. Breaking more then the skin with the meanings. Your words taste like the pains we don't cherish but don't want to forget. Scattering rocks and tireless days throughout our own worlds. Each sentence written is spoken out loud, screamed into the place we leave each other.
It
makes me feel, it makes feel so tired and lost. Your words leave me bleeding from a wound that everyone is inflicted of. The poem pulls fistfulls of hurt from my insides laying them on the table. It's beautiful in so many ways, but when you say the person haunts you... it makes me feel haunted.
You can call me Cherry. I love all forms of art, they are like therapy for the soul. I used to write, stories and poem and such, but then I stopped for a long time. All I did was journal, but recently.. more..
